Whether there's a need to explore thoughts, emotions, or behaviors, Rhēma-Therapy is a place where people can find the tools to respond to life's challenges. With a nonjudgmental environment that fosters hope and promotes wellness, each person is inherently valuable and capable of growth. Like the Biblical dove from Genesis 8:11, holding an olive leaf in its mouth, counseling is designed to promote hope.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (TX License 85602), I typically utilize a Cognitive-Behavioral-Somatic approach from a Biblical worldview. My special focus areas include Addiction, Anxiety, Depression, Codependency, Relationship Conflict, Religious Trauma, Biblical restoration and health/wellness.

My Story
I received a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Psychology, Speech Communication, Criminal Justice) from the University of Texas at Tyler. After several years of working with outreach ministries and teaching at the collegiate level, I received a second Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas at Tyler. My clinical training includes intensive case management with the TCOOMMI division (Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments) through the Andrews Center Behavioral Healthcare System, serving clients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders.

In my free time, I enjoy singing, cooking, watching movies, spending quality time with family/friends, prayer walking, and teaching at Tyler Junior College. I've been happily married for 16 years and have three children.
